Tabhue is a lightweight browser extension that puts an end to the visual chaos faced by users who work with dozens of tabs at once. Tabs are automatically grouped by domain, each site gets its own distinctive color, and hunting for a lost tab becomes a thing of the past.

As the number of open tabs grows, titles get truncated and almost nothing distinguishes one tab from another besides the favicon. Tabhue solves this with a language of color. Since tabs belonging to the same domain always get the same color, your eyes adjust quickly and you find the right tab in a fraction of a second rather than several. Small but annoying details, like the missing favicon space in Microsoft Edge, are addressed through canvas support.

Tabs from the same site are automatically gathered under a group heading, and colors derived from the domain name stay consistent across sessions, building muscle memory over time. The extension keeps CPU and memory usage to a minimum, and for Edge users the favicon area is colored via canvas. On the privacy front, no browsing data is ever sent to external servers.

Tabhue is a strong productivity tool for software developers, academics, marketing and sales professionals, researchers, and knowledge workers who habitually keep many tabs open. Educators, journalists, and freelancers also save significant time in their daily workflows with Tabhue.

Tabhue is available as a download from the official Chrome and Microsoft Edge stores. No configuration is needed after installation — the default behavior is optimized for most users. In line with its privacy policy, no personal data is collected or shared.

With Tabhue, tab clutter turns into an organized workspace.
