Notion
A modular workspace that brings notes, documents, databases, and project management together in one tool
Notion is a modular workspace application that more than 100 million users rely on for personal and team work. In a single interface, you can take notes, write documents, build databases, track tasks, and set up a wiki.
A traditional workflow is spread across five or six different apps: notes in Apple Notes, documents in Google Docs, tasks in Asana, a wiki in Confluence, lightweight databases in Airtable. Notion offers a modular infrastructure that brings most of that work together in a single interface.
Everything is a "block" — a heading, a paragraph, an image, a task box, a table, an embedded video. You combine blocks like LEGO pieces to build your own tools.
Databases are one of Notion's most powerful features. A single database can be displayed as a table, a Kanban board, a calendar, a gallery, or a list, presenting the same data differently to different teams. Filtering, sorting, and relational links are all built in.
Notion AI works as a writing assistant, summarizer, translator, and idea generator. You can select existing content and give it commands like "shorten this," "fix this," or "translate to Turkish." It's powered by GPT-based models.
Thousands of free and paid templates are shared by the community — personal yearly planning, content calendars, OKR management, digital bullet journals, lightweight CRM. Any of them can be copied into your own workspace with a single click.
Pages support real-time multi-user editing, comments, mentions, page history, and version comparison, and teams can share access based on roles.
Notion is used by individuals for personal productivity, startup teams for wikis and sprint planning, agencies for project tracking, educators for lesson planning, and content creators for publishing workflows. Large companies such as OpenAI, Pixar, Doordash, and Figma also use it for internal wikis and documentation.
Individual use comes with a free plan offering unlimited blocks. Teams can choose from paid plans (Plus, Business, Enterprise), and users who sign up with an education email get free Plus access. The web, desktop (Mac, Windows), and mobile apps are all fully featured.
