Muselera

Muselera is a management platform built to move the collection records that museums and cultural institutions have long kept in ledgers, card catalogs, and disconnected spreadsheets onto a modern digital infrastructure. The identity, story, and journey of every artifact are archived securely in Muselera.

Museum collections are delicate, multi-layered, long-lived assets. When processes such as inventory counts, restoration history, exhibition rotations, and loan protocols are handled manually, information inevitably gets lost along the way. Muselera tightens that fragile chain, making every artifact trackable from a single source together with its metadata, images, and document attachments.

Artifact records follow international museum cataloging standards, and each entry can be linked to high-resolution photos, 3D scans, and supporting documents in a dedicated media archive. Different access levels can be defined for curators, restorers, inventory officers, and management, while QR and touchscreen integrations let visitors reach rich content about each artifact. Collection texts — Turkish and English chief among them — can easily be expanded into additional languages.

Muselera is used across a wide range of institutions, from public museums to private collections and from university museums to foundation collections. As one example, SEKA Paper Museum, one of Turkey's leading industrial museums, manages its collection processes with Muselera.

The platform runs on cloud infrastructure and requires no local network setup. Data is backed up, and access logs are kept for auditing. Offline caching is available for in-museum kiosks, and API integrations make it possible to connect to ticketing and reporting systems.
