Morfoto
An AI face-recognition, KVKK/GDPR-compliant photo sales platform for wedding and event photographers
Morfoto is a SaaS platform built for wedding and event photographers. Photographers upload the shots they take at an event to the Morfoto gallery, and guests find their own photos within that gallery in seconds using AI face recognition, then purchase and download the ones they like straight away, in digital form. The entire flow runs on KVKK-compliant infrastructure.
The traditional wedding photography model is limited: one client couple, one package price, one printed album. Yet each of the 200-300 guests at a wedding wants their own photos, and that sales opportunity is lost under the usual process. Morfoto captures that opportunity: the same event photographer's shots are sold on a per-guest basis starting from the day of the event, so the photographer reaches hundreds of customers instead of just one.
Morfoto's most critical feature is AI face recognition. A guest clicks the gallery link, takes a selfie with their phone, and the AI engine finds and surfaces every photo of that person from a collection of thousands within seconds — no manual searching or folder browsing, just direct access to their own photos.
Facial biometrics are sensitive personal data, so Morfoto is built to comply fully with KVKK and GDPR. Guests are informed and give explicit consent before face recognition is used; data is processed only for the specific purpose of matching photos from that event; biometric data is deleted automatically after a set retention period; users can request deletion of their data at any time; and built-in support covers data controller registry (VERBİS) requirements. This structure means photographers don't have to handle legal obligations on their own — the platform takes care of it.
While a wedding or event is still underway, a guest scans the QR code at their table or the entrance, enters the gallery, finds their own photos, and buys and downloads them to their phone instantly — immediate sales, immediate satisfaction.
Galleries stay accessible for weeks or months after the event ends, so guests and their relatives — including family members who couldn't attend — can come back later, pay, and download their digital photos.
Each photographer sets up dedicated galleries with their own logo, banner, and pricing policy, so customers see their own photographer's professional environment rather than the "Morfoto" brand itself.
Customers aren't limited to digital photos — they can also optionally order printed canvases, albums, and framed products. Credit card and digital wallet payments are integrated directly into the platform, sales revenue is transferred automatically to the photographer's account, and the commission structure is transparent.
Morfoto's core users are wedding photographers who gain extra revenue from every guest; event photographers covering engagements, circumcision ceremonies, graduations, and birthdays; corporate event photographers working galas, award ceremonies, and conferences; concert and festival photographers reaching thousands of attendees; sports event photographers covering marathons, tournaments, and training sessions; and professional event companies that market photography as an additional service.
The process is straightforward. The photographer shoots the event as usual, then uploads the photos to the Morfoto gallery through fast bulk uploading. The AI automatically tags the faces in every photo, and the gallery's QR code is shared so guests can access it. Each guest uploads a selfie to find their own photos, adds the ones they like to their cart, pays, and downloads them — and the resulting sales are transferred automatically to the photographer's account as commission.
Morfoto runs as a web-based SaaS product, so photographers don't need to install anything. The AI face-recognition engine runs on servers based in Turkey, and data never leaves the country. It works at the same speed on both mobile and desktop browsers.
With Morfoto, photography turns from a one-off service into a sales flow that continues throughout the event.
