Shopify is a SaaS e-commerce infrastructure underpinning more than 4 million stores worldwide. It is used at every scale, from entrepreneurs starting online sales from scratch to million-dollar D2C brands.

Writing your own e-commerce infrastructure from scratch — payment integration, card security (PCI), inventory management, shipping integration, and currency and language handling — is months of work. Shopify delivers these layers ready-made, letting you focus purely on your product and your brand.

Hundreds of free and paid themes are available. You can add and remove sections with drag-and-drop in the visual editor without writing code, and full customization is possible in the Liquid template language when you need it.

Shopify Payments comes built in, so credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and local payment methods are all managed from one panel. Integrations with local payment providers exist in markets such as Turkey.

Alongside your online store you can feed the same inventory to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok Shop, Google Shopping, eBay, and Amazon. If you also have a physical store, Shopify POS hardware keeps your inventory in sync.

With Shopify Markets you can sell from a single store into many countries, with pricing, language, tax, and shipping rules configured per country. More than 8,000 apps extend the platform further, covering marketing automation such as Klaviyo and Omnisend, logistics such as ShipStation, accounting such as QuickBooks, and loyalty programs such as LoyaltyLion — plus integrations with Turkish providers like Shipentegra, Hepsijet, and Yurtiçi Kargo.

Solo boutique brands, local D2C entrepreneurs, wholesale manufacturers, multinational e-commerce operators, and hybrid physical-online retailers all use Shopify. Global brands such as Allbirds, Gymshark, and Heinz choose it as well.

Pricing is subscription-based across three main plans — Basic, Shopify, and Advanced — plus an enterprise Shopify Plus option, with a 3-day free trial. Fully featured management apps are available on web, iOS, and Android.
